Drop-In Advising:

For returning & continuing students there are no pre-scheduled appointments in the summer. Come to drop in advising!

Before you look for a future appointment, come to a drop-in! Drop-in conversations are usually 10-15 minutes, although they can take longer, and can be held in-person or remote by phone or a Teams video chat. We can meet with you where you are comfortable. No topic is too big or small; come start the conversation!

All drop-in hours are first-come, first-served. Check in for drop-ins begin about 15 minutes before the start of each time block. To ensure we end on time, we stop checking students in 15 minutes before the posted close time. Please note, if the line becomes too long, we will close the list early.

Summer Weeks 3-10 (July 7-Aug. 29):

  • Monday: 1:00-3:30 pm
  • Tuesday: No drop-in hours
  • Wednesday:  No drop-in hours
  • Thursday: 1:00-3:30 pm
  • Friday: No drop-in hours

Summer Week 11 (Sept. 1-5):

  • Tuesday: 1:00-3:30 pm
  • Wednesday:  No drop-in hours
  • Thursday: 1:00-3:30 pm
  • Friday: No drop-in hours

During the times above, use the button below to initiate a live chat with our front desk staff through Microsoft Teams or call 541-346-2884.

This initial chat window is public, do not post any private information. If the chat doesn’t work, call 541-346-2884 or visit 134 Allen Hall.

Curious how drop-ins work? Check out an SOJC student walking though the process in the video below!
